Jana Ghalayini (b. 1993) is an artist based in Tkaronto, Canada. She holds a BFA in Printmaking from OCAD University and is a self-taught weaver who draws inspiration from her Palestinian heritage. Through intuitive weaving, mixed-media work, and printmaking, she explores repetition and mark-making as process-based forms that give space to investigate and reflect on the connection between tangible materials and fragmentation, using her practice to document gestural marks that relate to personal and collective memory and ideas that evolve over time.
